💎 A Moment Worth Remembering
Susan’s Rock Therapy — Beauty for Ashes
Today we celebrate Susan and the thousands of painted rocks she has created in memory of her son, Benjamin Parker. ❤️
After tragically losing her son Ben on March 28, 2017, Susan prayed that God would bring something good out of their pain. In August of that year, she discovered the power of painted rocks through EvansvilleRocks!. What began as a way to honor Ben’s 20th birthday has grown into a beautiful ministry of healing, connection, and hope.
Susan calls her work Rock Therapy. Every rock she paints has Ben’s name on the back. Through these rocks, she has found healing, inspiration, and purpose. Ben’s rocks have traveled across the United States and around the world — from the Sydney Opera House to the Great Pyramid in Egypt and beyond.
Susan uses her painted rocks to support local nonprofits, veterans’ organizations, and even water projects in Africa. Her simple mission is to make someone’s day a little brighter — one rock at a time.
Thank you, Susan, for turning your deepest pain into beauty for others. Your story is a powerful reminder that even in our darkest moments, God can bring light, purpose, and healing.
