Restore Outreach selected step program of choice is Celebrate Recovery (CR). This recovery program addresses all types of habits, hurts and hang-ups.
Celebrate Recovery mirrors AA’s structure, incorporating the Beatitudes in its curriculum: The Journey Begins (Books 1-4) for early recovery and The Journey Continues (Books 5-8) which supports ongoing growth and healing.
Restore is centered on family restoration and provides a supportive evening program that includes a shared meal at 5:30 PM, Gender-specific classes for men and women starting at 6:30 PM, Next Generation childcare and programming for children from newborn to age 5. In addition, it offers age-appropriate recovery-focused groups for kids and teens, such as Celebrate Recovery (adapted for children and youth), Celebration Place (designed for ages 6-10), and The Landing (tailored for ages 11-18).
The program emphasizes personal responsibility rather than engaging in blame-shifting or playing the “accuse and excuse” game of victimization. It guides participants to confront their own harmful choices head-on and focus on the aspects of life they can influence and change. By modeling healthy, accountable living year-round alongside these families, the program helps break cycles of generational hurts, habits, and hang-ups, preventing them from passing down to children and future generations.
Restore partners with other groups to help with areas like adult GED programs, adult literacy, parenting class, budgeting, communication, job skills/resumes, spiritual enrichment and additional recovery. Programs and classes as they become available.
Get Involved
Restore Outreach is one of the community outreaches of The Gathering Church. However, many who attend, volunteer and participate are from various churches in our area or no church at all. Restore is not about any one church building a name for itself but rather unifying to share the love of Christ and make a true impact in our community. We accomplish more when we work together!
